Noma Snowblower – Where Did They Go?

I’ve been trying to figure out where the Noma Snowblower went? I can only find used ones for sale, no new ones. It seems like these snow blowers just fell off the face of the Earth.

Here’s what I know:

1. This guy is showing anyone who cares how to get a Noma snowblower ready to throw some snow:

2. Noma as a company hasn’t actually made anything since 1967, they now only exist as a licened trademark. My source on that one is Wikipedia

3. You can find a lot of products with the name “Noma” in CanadianTire.

4. You can find replace parts for Noma Snowblower here. What I noticed that site is that all of the parts for Noma snowblowers also appear to fit Murray snowblowers. So I think that Murray may have bought the snowblowers off of Noma. At the very least, Murray is still making snowblowers and Noma isn’t.

If you are looking for a new Noma snowblower I think you’re out of luck. Luckily there are at least a dozen snowblower manufacturers so you’re not strapped for choices.
